Summary
“She wants to stop. Bite the urge, not the skin. That’s why I’m here, you’ll help won’t you, Varric?”
He looks into Cole’s pleading gaze. “Help who, kid?”
“Genevieve. She’s hurting, twisting and tightening. I can’t undo the knot in her chest, I’m not a key like you are…or, or a knife that cuts the tension like butter. You’re a breath of fresh air, a bar of light through the chantry window, warm on my cheek. She needs you, not me,” He lets out a breathy chuckle, as though it were quite obvious and Varric was silly for not understanding right away.
He damns his stupid Dwarf heart for skipping a beat. “Gen? Is she alright, where is she?”
