Her eyes darted out of the pile looking for those two brown dots. Mira's face was one of frustration as she was consoled by a teammate. She glared at Rumi, daggers straight into her heart. Rumi smirked back, full of arrogance. Take that.

"Well has anyone told you today?" Honestly the guy needed to take a hint. He was being utterly ridiculous. Rumi was clawing at the opportunity to jump on him and scratch his eyes out, but propriety took over, Mira could handle it and Rumi knew she could.
"Yeah a couple of people actually." Mira replied easily.
Wait a couple? Rumi cocked her head, thankful that the man was holding up the line just so that she could react all she wanted to without it being a distraction from a fan currently at her table. Obviously me, that one fan from earlier, but still. Rumi felt the jealousy burn in her gut.
People needed to stop trying to take what was hers.

Mira gets flirted with at a fansign, Rumi decides that she needs to make sure Mira know who she belongs to.

Summary
A plate shattered against the floor from the kitchen. An incredible range of emotions managed to make their way across four faces in the course of two seconds. Rumi's laughing stuttered to a halt when she noticed the pale look on Mira's face, her eyes blown wide with what could only be described as pure undiluted panic.
Playing over the last few seconds in her head Rumi's face went through the most change. Laughter, then confusion, followed by concentration, then realization. Horror dawned on her face as her eyes bugged out of her head realizing what she'd just said, who she'd said it in front of.
As her head whipped around to locate the sound Rumi saw Zoey. The most diabolically chaotice grin spreading slowly across her face. Thrill, pure joy, she was in the best position in the entire apartment area. Uninvolved, unembarassed, able to enjoy whatever glorious chaos was about to unfold.

Rumi's smile softened as her mind drifted back to her younger years. Always cloying for Celine's approval trying so hard to earn her affection. To feel like she was worthy of it. Her hands traced the iridescent patterns on her arm coming to a stop at her shoulder.
She breathed in.
Then breathed out.
The floral scents flooding her nostrils always managed to ground her. She was past having to hide, not believing she was enough, thinking she had to earn love.
It had taken awhile, but she'd managed it.
