Started this last year before Christmas when still hopeful about the final season so it’s set in a parallel season 3… ah the bliss!

“Well, uhm,” Ted’s fingers scratched the back of his neck while he shifted uncomfortably in the chair. Why did he have to be so adorable in the morning? She felt her face morphing into that tender smile she only reserved for him. Maybe she shouldn’t push away these feelings, maybe this wasn’t all that bad, maybe…

AU: Rebecca still nabbed Richmond from old grey walnuts but never went through with hiring Ted. Of course he does end up in London and they still meet because the universe works like that for soulmates ;)

Rebecca huffed. “I’m not going to walk around in a room full of masked strangers. It sounds absolutely horrifying not knowing who just pinched your arse.”
“It won’t all be strangers,” Keeley wiggled her eyebrows, twirling the little card seductively in her hand, expertly letting the short pause fill itself with suggestions. “Beard will be there too… and Ted.”
