He pulled away from the embrace and began to pace the length of the terrace, hands clasped behind his back as if deep in thought. “I will not claim to be any sort of expert in politicking, but I can only imagine that you’ll have many frustrating conversations in your future. You’ve become far too used to everyone doing what you want simply because you ask.” He glanced back over his shoulder at his bemused lover and added, “I am merely helping you practice, is all.”
