Summary
Two years of preparation after entering the human world, all of the cattle children are given a row of homes in the suburbs and enrolled in school. While everyone seems to be adjusting well, Ray is unable to understand why things seem to positive, and through his own mind and facing what highschool was like begins to slip into a state he'd only experienced once; when Norman was shipped.
Through the social issues the children face among peers, the issues caused by the past cropping up, and the questioning plus discovery of himself, the 17 year old is forced to confront things the dangerous landscape of the demon world and the stale environment of the Institute hadn't allowed him to think about. How long will it take for his family to realise?
(Ray-centric angst story because Im starving for them myself! This is my first serious fanfiction ever so Im nervous, but there will be some serious stuff later in the story, as well as sexual content [not all of it which, Im so sorry, will be consensual]. Please keep an eye on the warnings and tags, I will also be tagging the more serious stuff at the beginning of each chapter just in case <3)

ONESHOT -
As the rush of adrenaline wears off after their escape and the immediate aftermath of Goldy Pond, Ray finds himself utterly lost on what to do or what his role now is.
He becomes snappy and gloomy, but there's always somebody keeping an eye out for the family, and the extra 50 kids haven't taken Emma's attention off of her best friend.
After finding him hiding away to break down, Emma finally gets a chance to help him unwind. They can deal with all the rest later, but for now, some much-needed rest.
