Summary
For five years Thorin Oakenshield has lived in the Shire with absolutely no memory of who he was before he woke up in the care of Bungo and Belladonna Baggins. Deciding to stay in the Shire, Thorin is happy, and tries to not think much about his past. Right now, he is best friends with Bungo and Bella, and he'd have it no other way. Until their son Bilbo returns from his apprenticeship in Tukburrow, and the two finally meet on the night of Bilbo's 33rd birthday party. It is love at first sight as fate tangles the two together in a night of joy and intimacy.
Yet their whirlwind of a romance only lasts till the sunrises...it is then that everything goes wrong. Thorin has been kidnapped, Bilbo is pregnant, and all they want is to get back to one another.

Every Hobbit in the Shire has a Season. The children of Summer are known for their fires, the Springs for their skills at gardening and healing, and the Autumns for the winds that they can bend to their will.
Bilbo Baggins has a different Season, a cursed Season.
Bilbo Baggins is a child of Winter, blamed by many for the suffering of the Fell Winter of his infancy. Shunned and forced to restrain his powers with an amulet, Bilbo suddenly finds his skills needed to assist a horde of suicidal Dwarves on their Quest to kill a dragon.
Fire cannot kill a dragon, but perhaps Ice can... if it can be controlled. -

“You have a tiny Hobbit,” Fíli said, sounding astonished. “Why do you have a tiny Hobbit?” Kíli asked, his voice suspicious. “Did you get married?” asked Fíli, now sounding worried. “This is not good,” Kíli muttered, with twice the worry as Fíli. “Uncle, why are they staring at you?” Frodo asked, his voice confused.
Bilbo fled Erebor before his friends could be buried, before he had to see Thorin encased in stone. He returns to the Shire and settles into a life of unsociability and some amount of loneliness, but finds comfort in the figures of the children of Hobbiton.
After twenty years, however, his luck is gone, and Bilbo has to flee the Shire with Frodo, Sam, Merry, and Pippin, and with four very young Hobbits, there is only one place he can turn to.Series

For years Bilbo has written about his adventures and told stories about his dealings with dwarves and dragons. To most it seemed like fanciful nonsense but to Bilbo it was all very real. A weight followed him home from his travels, one called regret. Now in his final moments Bilbo has a choice to make – go quietly into death’s embrace or go back again and face all the fear and pain for the chance to make things right?
Of course, change is a fickle thing and not everything can be done again as Bilbo is about to find out. In the end, it may not only be salvation that he’s fighting for.
