Summary
It is 1183. The Third Crusade is going strong, and Saladin, the Sultan of both Egypt and Syria, will not rest until he has captured Jerusalem.
King Baldwin IV, the ruler of Jerusalem, will not rest until Jerusalem is safe from Saladin's hands.
Benedict Crispin is one of Baldwin's most trusted guards. They have seen everything together. They have fought beside each other. They are prepared for anything that stands before the Holy Land.
But while Baldwin IV stands before Jerusalem as a mighty and wise king, there is a battle of his very own that he faces every day. And he knows it will be his last.

Summary
He had noticed his arrival long before he saw him, of course he had. Many eyes worked for him, showed him what they saw if he wished for it, asked them to step aside for a moment or two to see through them. And still, despite what had happened before, when he had shown his hand to Jayce for the first time since they had parted ways, Viktor smiled when he opened his eyes and saw that ragged man stand before him in person. It was a subdued thing, small and soft, but genuine. They'd had their differences, but he was honest when he spoke.
“Jayce. I'm pleased to see you” Viktor let the levitation he had been in fade out, tethers vanishing into thin air. Metal feet padded back on the ground as he watched his former partner tremble before him, knuckles white on the hilt of the aberrated hammer he was holding. The weapon seemed to flicker and shift under his scrutiny, like a skittish animal unsure if it should bite or run away. It was like the object was baring fangs at him, every blink a bark and a snap at the air.
-----
Jayce arrives at the Commune after returning home from the anomaly.
His original plan of how to stop Viktor changes just a little bit.Bookmarked by Yelling_in_Space

Summary
Obi-Wan opened his palm that contained the weakly pulsing crystal. He wasn’t sure, if it would be strong enough to create a blade, but it might help to soothe Anakin’s agitated mind.
He looked at Anakin.
Anakin’s gaze rested on the crystal for a long time.
Was that longing on his face?
Was he hoping to go back to ...to this?
Mechanical fingers edged closer towards his palm, Obi-Wan reached further with his hand, encouraging him to take it. The fingers hovered for a while, then closed into a fist and retreated.
Anakin turned around, his shoulders slumped.
It wasn’t responding to him.
Obi-Wan’s hand shook and he closed his fingers reflexively around the precious stone. His hand returned to his side. The stone whispered weakly and he let it slip into his pocket, forever to be unused.
“I am sorry...”
