Summary
After John's death, Dean must travel to California to find his estranged brother and deliver the bad news. He takes Castiel with him, despite the newness of their relationship, and finds himself falling in love while staying in a series of little motels. What he discovers after arriving at Stanford is enough to destroy what's left of him, but Dean isn't willing to give up what they have together that easily.

Summary
After the fall, everything changes. Cas is human, Sam's in a coma, and Dean's shoulders won't stop aching no matter how much he ignores them. Though they both agree that fixing the world is their responsibility, Dean and Cas must first learn how to fix themselves. Forced to relearn how to function on a daily basis, the two discover that they need each other more than either of them are comfortable admitting. But they find that when you fall, it's nice to know you have someone there to catch you.
