This was something Shepherd accepted long before he had entered Barovia, although he had thought he could lead them all out of the hell that was Barovia. But when he watched the only person he care about be consumed in fire of course he chased them, love made Silas Morgan a selfish man. As the flames consumed their bodies, Gherix revealed himself, he offered a trade to Shepherd. A second chance.
And now he wasn't in Barovia, he wasn't in Stryga, hells he wasn't even on Avantris anymore. Instead Shepherd found himself on the Rhapsody, a large ship owned by a man named Rett and his partner Pyke.
How will these two adjust to their new lives in space, with the new party, a new life that brings new struggles and new lights.⋆⭒˚.⋆𖤓⋆⭒˚.⋆

Summary
The expedition has succeeded. Barovia is free of the shackles of evil - nothing more than a barren field of ash and fire, but one from which life will burst forth. Shepherd should feel grateful that it came at a small cost - one life for thousands. He did the right thing, yet he made a grave mistake. When the opportunity to fix it came, why wouldn’t he take it?

He’s expecting nothing more than an old headstone in the dust and maybe some old memories to bury once and for all. Instead of a grave, he’s going to find something stranger: a living, breathing, and opinionated father who thought him dead. Whoops.
Kremy, expecting a quiet trip before his wedding and maybe a few spots of sightseeing, is now stuck on a dusty ranch with no idea how to survive farm life. The heat, the dirt, the endless cows—it’s not exactly his scene. And, of course, the locals are not thrilled about a gatorfolk hanging around. Despite his gentlemanly ways, he’s definitely not winning anyone over.
But hey, they’ve got each other, right? Here’s hoping Kremy doesn’t get stuck in a hayloft anytime soon. Trouble finds it's way.
