So yes, it wasn’t James’s fault. This was all Regulus. It was his decision to fuck his roommate (and his brother’s best friend) because he just couldn’t contain his feelings and keep it in his damn pants for a moment longer. And now, James was going to leave, and take Regulus's heart in the process.
He was so wrapped up in his thoughts that he didn’t hear the footsteps of James entering the room again until the mattress dipped.
“What-?” he gasped, turning quickly around, pulling a blanket up to his waist.
“Shh,” James mumbled soothingly, placing a gentle hand on his shoulder. “Just me, love.”

Sirius' heart was beating too fast for Remus to consider it normal. His heart was beating like crazy and Remus frowned.

He looked at Sirius again, at his wide eyes. The next thing that was wrong was his breathing, which was quickening. In addition, he pulled his arm out of Remus's grasp as if it had burned him
Remus pulled away immediately.
Was Sirius afraid of him?
He looked at his friend once again.
Sirius immediately looked away, staring at the floor. His heart still racing.
