Aizawa likes to believe that he can do this, you know? He can and will teach this class of 20 chaotic kids for the next three years. But no, the universe must hate him so bad that he has villains coming after his class almost every week. He can still handle that. He's a hero, it's his job to defeat villains.
But this? He has his limits and this is just plain ridiculous.

Katsuki is full out crying now, he curls up to make himself smaller and sobs into his arms. Shouto blinks and looked over the people in the room. Now he knows why they look familiar.
"Aizawa-sensei! You don't look like a weird ghost anymore! Black looks better on you." Shouto nods.
Aizawa is one step away from jumping out of a window. He facepalms and sighs, "Problem children. No matter what universe they're in."

Maybe he’d stayed, after. When the fight was over and the villain was apprehended and after he’d yelled in Todoroki’s stupid pretty face that he wasn’t going to help with the cleanup.
Maybe he’d stayed.
And helped.
And watched snowflakes get tangled in the red of Todoroki’s hair, and thought ridiculously, stupidly, absurdly—that he was going to miss it, someday. That he would miss Todoroki’s idiotic blank expression and his astronomical lack of self-awareness and the way rose petals seemed to spontaneously manifest in the background whenever he smiled even a little bit and—oh, fuck.
There had been a Realization.
Or: After Katsuki vehemently denies their friendship, Todoroki decides to ask him, directly, what it would take to change his mind.
