Sam had always thought of himself as a very open-minded hobbit - but it could be that there was a difference between knowing that Mister Frodo did things, things certain other hobbits might say were unnatural, in his bedchamber, and seeing him there in his nightshirt with another lad’s hands all over him. In which Sam walks in on Frodo in a compromising position and comes to a realisation (eventually).

Summary
Paris outs herself and Rory during a televised argument with Michele Bachmann. Peskiest of all is the fact that Paris and Rory aren't actually dating. A documentary crew wants to make Paris And Rory's Modern Stars Hollow Family anyway. Meanwhile, Rory goes slowly and quietly nuts. (And doesn't like Paris like that -- why would you even suggest such a thing?? Not that ... anyone did.)

Summary
Shitty is Jack’s best friend. And Jack knows that means different things to different people, but to him it means that Shitty is the strongest person he’s ever known. Shitty holds him together, and, even though Jack knows he doesn’t need it anymore, there is still a part of him that Shitty knows better than anyone. Even Bitty.
Maybe that’s why this is so terrifying.
As Jack starts playing in the NHL, he hears from Shitty less and less. Which is wrong, of course. When Jack realizes, he sets about fixing it.

Summary
Someone leaves an intriguing entry in Rory's yearbook without revealing their true identity and Rory doesn't realize who they are until graduation is well over and she's in the middle of her Europe trip.
Paris takes the silence as a no and tries to move on, but then Rory is apparently also going to Yale and a confrontation is inevitable.
