Luckily not everyone from the palace has forgotten her. Fritz remembers her. But he's not exactly the same Fritz she remembers. There are cracks in his mask. Something dark seeped through it, and now it's become the wolf that stalks her at night with the same golden eyes she learned to rely on.
Regardless of his own curse, Fritz's priority is helping his princess, not himself. But maybe there's a way to break their curses together. Lucette's not afraid to try, especially when she finally gets to learn who exactly her loyal knight is. And whether she can trust him or not.

Oh, nice to see you again!” She waved happily back at Paimon, tugging greatly at Lumine’s poor lovestruck heart.

But she leaves her home to pick fruits and berries for her children to make them something nice. Because after such a big scare, how could she not give them something sweet to nibble on?
So she leaves for the pickings. And just as she leaves, Justin arrives at her doorstep.
When the berries started offering some resistance to her stirring, she finally slowed down. And grabbing a spoon, she dipped it into the sweet paste and lifted it to check the consistency.
Just right.
She smiled, and then, on a whim and some bout of bravery, she rounded the table to stand by Justin's side and offered him the spoon. He didn't say anything while it trembled in her hold, only lifted a hand and hovered it below hers to catch what dropped.

Pink and black candy hair popped into Matakara's mind unbidden, making Matakara want to sneeze. He'd spent very little time in the girl's presence, knowing from first glance that she was bad news. Many guys fell for it; the thirty four before Arajin was proof of that. She looked sweet and gentle and kind, but like rotting fruit it only took a bite for that cloying sweetness and rot to hit the back of a man's throat. By then it was too late and the worms were already squirming.
Had Arajin fallen for her? Had he taken a bite of the poison apple?
