He’s mesmerized by Clarence Clemons, muscular arms gilded with sweat after two hours onstage but still showing no sign of slowing down, blowing his heart out into his gleaming saxophone. But most of all, he loves the Boss himself.
In the summer of 1984, Steve takes Nancy to see Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band on the Born in the USA tour. He learns something about himself along the way.

"Yeah?" Spider said, with a laugh, the corners of his eyes crinkling up as he turned his face to the side to finally look at Ant.
"Fuckin' oath," Ant responded, meeting Spider's eyes. A strange feeling washed over him, something like an odd sense of sincerity to what was very clearly a joke between friends. It made him uncomfortable, and he shifted in his position on the ledge, toeing Spider's knee and shifting his gaze away from him. "Stop hogging the joint, will ya?"
