Summary
"I've been with this gang since I was a boy, and I've seen things change. Not for the better." John turns to Kieran with a hardened look. "The gang is slowly falling apart. I don't know for how long, but things will surely turn bad.
"You need to go when the time is right. Go and never look back, you hear?"
John Marston had died with a bullet-riddled body on Beecher's Hope in 1911, yet awoke with a freshly scarred face on an icy mountain's ledge in 1899. His impossible hindsight enabled him to build a friendlier relationship with Kieran Duffy, an uneasy outsider who seems to be one of the very few that sees the Van Der Linde gang for what it really is.
~ or ~
Time traveled RDR1 John bonds with Kieran over having a kind of atypically high detachment from their gangs.

Summary
John blinks. "Sure," he replies, "if you consider an idle viewing of your afternoon castration and a cold, threatening gun to your head as such."
Kieran huffs. "I don't mean it like that. I mean… I know you have plenty reason to distrust n' put me down. I just think it's kind of you to still treat me with respect."
John Marston had died with a bullet-riddled body on Beecher's Hope in 1911, yet awoke with a freshly scarred face on an icy mountain's ledge in 1899. Armed with the haunting, twisted foreknowledge of his old gang he's been sent back with, John finds himself greeting a (soon-to-be) outcast member, Kieran Duffy, a little differently, finding his unique perspective on gangs hitting closer to home than 'last time.'
~ or ~
Time traveled RDR1 John reacts to Kieran differently because of his foreknowledge/hindsight.

Summary
MePhone is uneasy being here again, but he goes about his pointless tasks with a new skilled efficiency, despite his dejected sluggishness. The wound is too fresh. Lucky for him, Cobs isn't ramping things up too quickly at all, even though he should be pushing more for his 'future.' MePhone isn't particularly eager to find out why, but he thinks it's inevitable.
Running and hiding was never going to work— MePhone knows. He can't fight back, or make Cobs change, and now he can't even escape to blissful forgetfulness, because he just can't let himself make those same mistakes.
After watching his world fall apart under the weight of his failures, MePhone resigns himself to Cobs's will once more, returning to his tormenting life in Meeple. Powerless and grief-stricken, he struggles to come to terms with what's transpired, but an entirely unexpected guest finds him first.

"No, I'm not here to hide, a-and Cobs hasn't hurt me… yet," MePhone nervously responds. "You won't tell anyone I've been here, right?"
"I'll be as quiet as a mouse!" Toilet declares gleefully, and a strange look crosses MePhone's face for some reason. "Don't worry, sir! I may not be your assistant anymore, but I would never let anyone hurt you!"
While trapped under Cobs's clutch, Toilet comes face to face with his old boss, who is worryingly amnesiac and lost.

Summary
This is the story of a core named "Wheatley". That's it. That's all there is. Would you like to know more? [YES] [NO]
Wheatley gets another chance… or two… or three… or four… whether he likes it or not. And so long as he does it the Narrator’s way, of course.

Bookmarker's Notes
This fic is both a love letter to the two fandoms and a meaningful character study. Its comedically absurd amalgamation of over-the-top chaos and meta commentary work swimmingly well, faithfully like in Portal and The Stanley Parable, respectively, and it creates a delightfully entertaining writing style. It's a fresh take on a Wheatley redemption arc, fraught with unexpected and difficult (and very existential) challenges, and the Narrator's role in the story, through actively fighting against Wheatley's shenanigans. The backbone of it all is the dialogue between Wheatley and the Narrator, where Wheatley's frantic energy augments the comedy of the Narrator's dry commentary, and the Narrator's smugness makes Wheatley's loud bouts of frustration more endearing.

Sholmes and Iris invent silly string, which will definitely be helpful on investigations and not be used for any nefarious purposes involving property damage.

Bookmarker's Notes
This is an excellent and extremely faithful interpretation of the post-TGAAC2 London side friend group, written like straight out of the original game. The plot, character dynamics, and dialogue are thoroughly comedic and well-written with hilarious one-liners everywhere. This is way too good.

Barok doesn't owe anyone anything, so why does he feel so strangely responsible for the orphaned and mentorless children left behind in the wreckage when the dust settles? Against his better judgment, he chooses to stay and take responsibility instead of retiring to the countryside, and this single decision somehow alters the course of his life as it slowly draws everyone together.

Summary
Maki Harukawa was the Holy Salvation Society’s top assassin. Working for the highest bidder, it didn’t matter if it was the good guys or bad guys so long as her boss got a paycheck at the end of the day. She worked alone, striking from the shadows and disappearing into thin air. So why the hell was the city’s resident hero showing up at all her recent missions?!

Summary
I think I know too much. I think… I think I’ve been here before. I think I remember being here before.
“I’ll see you soon.”
The words slip unbidden from your mouth, almost involuntarily. You open your eyes to see the princess nod and raise the knife.
“Hey. I love you.”
Then, all too clearly, you have a terrible realization. For this to work, you have to believe that she can make you forget. And you don’t, if your bleeding memory is any indication. You don’t believe anymore.
But you don’t have time to contemplate the consequences of that realization. There’s an agonizingly familiar, piercing pain in your chest; then everything goes dark, and you die.

Bookmarker's Notes
A wonderfully fresh and ambitious expansion of Slay the Princess- an exploration of what's beyond The Wild fallen apart yet cut free. Through character arcs, it explores the balance of individuality and cooperation among pieces of a whole, as well as the experience of pseudo-mortality for immortal entities. The scenes and concepts beautifully well-written in a style very much like the original game, and the characters' conflicts and trials are compelling and creative.
