Shadowed by the looming figure of the major, stood, stately, atop a sputtering vehicle, in the pale glow of early morning, all of them trudged together, towards their graves, children ardent for some desperate glory.
But then, there was a moment of noise.
And in less than the amount of time it would take to buy a ticket, everything changes.
Or: On the second morning of the long walk all broadcasts are abruptly cut due to 'outside interference', there is still a long way to walk to reach potential safety (Garraty's mom's place) but with the competition dismantled an opportunity to look out for each other arises and friendship takes precedence.

You'd grown complacent to the life of a proxy. That was until that pregnancy test you took for shits and gigs stared back at you with two lines. Vowing to never put a child through that Hell and Misery, destined for the life of a proxy, you do the only thing you know to do: haul ass outta there. But the Operator doesn't like giving up its murder puppets up so easily, however and your ex has a history of tracking you in his sleep.
The mix of Slender Sickness and Morning Sickness sure make for one hell of a roadtrip. The smell of your hitchhiker in the trunk doesn't help things either. That's Steve. He's just sleeping. Don't worry about him.
After all... you got other things to worry about.

Summary
You are,, well you’re interesting, that’s for sure. You had your quirks, but overall, you were a good person. You thought that things would be easy, moving in with your childhood best friend and his skeletal partners, but god you were so wrong. Cole had changed, and not for the better. You’re starting to wonder if a cheap place to stay was worth all the trouble.
The whole skeletons dating someone else and the reader living with them all was inspired by There’s Still Magic by RosesCry. But the plot and stuff was my idea.

Summary
After an incident at the world-famous Ebott Aquarium, you find yourself placed on a team of staff dedicated to the care of the prize exhibits at the facility; three notoriously aggressive skeleton siren monsters captured in the name of 'research'. An orca with a disturbing record of finding new ways to attempt to drown his keepers, a shark who's excellent at removing whatever stray hands come his way, and a deep-sea octopus whose past (and body count) are hidden behind endless stacks of legal papers. Despite their pattern of brutally murdering their ever-changing team of keepers, they all seem to immediately take a shine to you- a worryingly bright shine. A shine that won't go away, a shine that starts to unnerve you.
However, the longer you work there, the more you see the inner workings of Ebott Aquarium. The more you realise the sirens you're 'caring for' aren't dumb beasts, they're deeply intelligent... they aren't mindlessly aggressive, they've gone insane, locked in those tiny glass cages.
... The more you interact with the sirens... the more you realise their murderous aggression might not be all that misplaced.
