Naruto had assumed it was just a hug at first, although kinda backwards in her opinion, what with Kakashi-sensei pressed all up her back instead of her front where she could hug him back. His hands had been on her hips though, weapon-calloused fingertips slightly brushing skin where her shirt didn’t quit meet her shorts, but still Naruto hadn’t really clocked what was about to happen until he’d turned her face to his for a kiss, so quick she hadn’t even manage a peek at his face first before their lips met, and suddenly like the tumblers in a lock when a key slides in, the thought had clicked over in her mind; a brand-new door of possibility swinging open.
