At the ages of six and seven, Jim and Spock have accidentally formed an unbreakable t'hy'la bond. This is not a problem at all in Jim's opinion. He loves being mind-married to Spock, which is a fact he will share with anyone who will listen.
However, no one seems to take their bond seriously.5 times people didn't believe Jim was married, and 1 time someone accepted it right away.

“What do you think?” Jim asks, suddenly swinging the door open and revealing his outfit to Spock.
It’s a blue negligee, entirely see through and draping off of Jim’s body like a dress that is two sizes too small. The hem stops mid thigh in a ruffle of feathers, the thin straps at the top straining over Jim’s defined shoulders.
“The color-” Spock begins, but is immediately cut off.
“Nope!” Jim declares, spinning back into the dressing room and closing the door behind him.
“I do not understand.” Spock protests, hands curling into fists in his lap.
