Summary
“You’re weirdly good at this,” Richie said at one point, taking his rent with a grin. “Like… responsible good. Kinda hot.”
Will’s brain stalled. He’d never been called that.
Mike choked, eyes staying on the bills in his hands. “Can you not flirt with my—”
He stopped himself so abruptly it made Will’s stomach twist.
With his what?
OR
Will Byers has spent years being quiet—about his feelings, about what he wants, about who he’s allowed to be.
Richie Tozier has never been quiet about anything in his life.
Over Christmas break, Will begins to realize that maybe what he needs isn’t someone careful, or hesitant, or afraid of being seen—but someone who chooses him loudly.

Summary
ZAP
Will was back. Choking on his own breath, heaving breaths he couldn’t seem to find. His lung burnt. His muscles tensed. There was a presence beside him, their knee pressing into the soft flesh of his torso, but he could barely feel it. They were calling his name over and over but he couldn’t pay attention.
“Mike?”
The word comes out wrong. Desperate.
A strangled sob was returned. Someone was crying. Why were they crying?
Suddenly he felt it. A prickling in his head, not painful, no something else. Something was wrong.
He tried to blink, tried to find something to grasp on. The world was spinning and he didn’t know how to stop it.
He blinked—darkness.
He lifted his hand. Pools of something thick. He gagged.
“Mike, why can’t I see?”
The pain hasn’t caught up to him yet — only the terror, the sudden, crushing absence where something has always been.
“Mike why can't I fucking see?"

“Oh, so you don’t believe I can?”
He was only met with a blank stare and a:“Mike, I already know you can’t”
That just seemed to fuel the urge more.
OR
Will tells Mike about a boy back in California he had gone to the gym with.
Mike gets a little jealous and tries to prove he's just as strong (he's not)
