Summary
Hawks was just supposed to drop off paperwork to endeavor, something he did semi regularly. But instead he accidentally stumbles into the man on top of his own son and fuck if it doesn’t crumble Hawks whole world to the ground.
He offers to take Shoto’s place. It’s all he can do. It’s all he can think of at the moment to make everything stop.
Endeavor takes him up on that offer.

Or: If Endeavor doesn’t get to let out a-lot of energy throughout the day it bottles up inside and he’ll explode unless he lets it all out and unfortunately Shouto has been at the receiving end of that for longer than either remember. Endeavor is a man of inhuman size for anyone to handle including Hawks, but he tries to stop Shouto’s suffering anyway, even if that means bringing about his own.
Hawks tries to mend a broken family but finds somethings aren’t meant to be fixed no matter how much he wishes it could be.
