The custom of wearing a ring on annulary is to symbolize either engagement or marriage. Yet there are cases it was worn as a part of fashion and clothing accessories. Albedo knew that much but somehow he couldn’t be sure. Was Aether ever the type to wear something to appear showy?

Aether looked at the railing and wondered if he could superhero-land from this height.
“Venti, I want to jump.”
“Huh— what?” Bennett was the first to react because of course he is and put himself between Aether and the railings. “We are so high!”
Venti peeked below and whistled, then when he looked, Aether knew Venti was going to agree with mock glee. “The shop below has a parasol outside, you can just land there. Are you going to do it? Wait, let me go down because I’m definitely videotaping this shit.”
“Venti!” Bennett shouts and grips at Aether’s arm. Ah, he’s locked.

A Prince messing with a Knight will make tons of headlines once it is out. Albedo never did hide his interest in Aether yet none bats an eye when he was very insistent and consistent on keeping him by his side, almost as if no one had ever thought something is going on between them.

Aether heard Albedo’s breath hitched and it spurred him to be more bold, wanting to elicit another reaction from him. Making Albedo’s always stoic and straight face blush was more than an achievement, it’s a privilege.
“This is hardly appropriate.” Albedo whispered closely and his lips were on him again, Aether keened. As if it’s not enough, Albedo ordered him between kisses: “Get on the desk.”

The door chimes and Albedo left. Aether blink at the hole of space in front of him. He could’ve sworn the lightning made Albedo’s cheeks pink, maybe they should keep the light forever.
Aether has been sending Albedo flowers secretly while gaining his own mysterious artist that kept leaving sketches of him.

Aether wondered, would he still be in the same predicament had he not left? He knows there’s nothing to dwell on what’s already done, but knowing you have a choice is comforting.

There was a strange sense of feeling.. proud to have Albedo looked at the spaceship. Aether can only think that it was probably his own eagerness to show everything of himself to Albedo, and it’s always flattering to see how much interest Albedo held in his eyes at something that is related to him. Aether felt seen.

Aether mumbled a silent thanks while Albedo blocked the sun, it was causing him a headache atop the pain on his back but he felt too paralyzed to move. Each shiver causes abrupt suffering and more torture.
“As endearing as it sounds I’m afraid you’ll— Aether..”
Suddenly Albedo’s voice sounded distant and far, then a sudden exertion flared the burning on his back. Aether recalled hissing and trying to wiggle out of pain but strong arms held him and Albedo’s whispers trying to calm him down. Whatever happened after that he barely cared, happy to pass out.

“You can see me?” the stranger cuts him.

The stranger vanished in thin air again, leaving him with the familiar feeling of weightless presence in his hand. A mist permeates into the air and joins the dust floating around. Aether isn’t sure anymore. What the heck should he do after someone asks him that kind of question and then disappears?
Maybe Dragonspine doesn’t need adventurers but an exorcist.

“Albedo open your eyes,” Aether demands softly. “It’s okay, look.”
Hovering above the lands of Teyvat, Aether halts where most of the clouds are clear and the sky is most visible. It’s like a huge veil blanketing the night sky in a pattern of thousands of stars.
