“Sveta, no.”
Svetlana laughs, shoving Ilya lightly.
“Shane. You should come to this party at a frat. It could be fun. You could get drunk…”
Shane sank his head farther into his pillow; a party would mean drinking, which would mean drunk Ilya. Just then he had an idea: he’s not terrible-looking; he’s been hit on before. If he went to this party, he could get revenge on Ilya by hooking up with a girl while he slept across from him; aside from all the interaction, it could be nice to give Ilya a taste of his own medicine.
“Sure.”
Shane sat up for the first time in hours, his bones all making gross cracking sounds. Svetlana had looked very nice, wearing an all-black outfit; Ilya, on the other hand, was shirtless, his head cocked at Svetlana with a dismayed look played on his face.
Shane gets down from his bed, only now realizing how disgusting he must look; he wishes he could see, but that's beyond what he can focus on right now.

Ilya spoke before Shane could utter a word. “I am Ilya Rozanov, captain of the Ottawa Centaurs and this is my husband.” He gestured to the man next to him with a smile spreading on his face. After all these years, they still act like teenagers having a crush on each other.
Shane smiled shyly before introducing himself. “I’m Shane Hollander and I am the alternate captain of the Ottawa Centaurs.” His tone was softer without the accent the other man had. “It is September 23, 2026, and this is our fourth yearly interview.”
Behind the screen a rustle of paper filled the quiet room. The man hummed before speaking. “Okay, first question.”

“Oh, I know!” She shrieked as she jumped up. “Let's play 20 questions!” She was visibly tipsy as she wobbled like the floor was opening underneath her.
Shane giggled awkwardly at the suggestion “umm, okay.” He turned to face her looking up as she excitedly started thinking.
“Do I know him?”
“Personally no, but you've definitely heard of him.”
She giggled as she thought about her next question.
“Is he famous?”
“Yes.”
“Actor?”
“No.”
“Singer?”
“No.”
He could see her thinking, her gears turning as she thought.
“Is he… a hockey player?” She whispered the last bit, like she was scared to know.
Shane nodded as he blushed.
“Oh my god!” She giggled like crazy
“Shut up!” he groaned as he fell back on the couch, his hands rubbing his face. “Do we keep going?” He peeked through his hands to look at her.
