Hannibal almost acts innocent, almost tips his chin in curiosity, as if asking, "Come again?" But he knows Will is not that stupid; he flicks his gaze to the fire. Flames dance, orange and yellow swirling in a waltz. "Like how any other man would, I suppose," he says blankly.
The corner of his mouth twitches in a near-smile when Will rolls his eyes. He muses, "I never thought I would see your jealousy."
"I'm not jealous," Will spits out, "I'm frustrated."

Summary
Like pressing on a bruise, Sheng Wang raises his head, moving timidly toward Jiang Tian, his eyes fixed on those lips. Only the most desperate ache could draw his own mouth so near to Jiang Tian’s, half a breath away.
But Jiang Tian is unknowing, motionless, absent from this choice. Asleep. Shame blooms, growing thorns. Sheng Wang scolds himself internally, and returns his head to its former resting place on his side of the pillow.
What was I thinking. Sheng Wang looks away, upset with himself.
When he looks back, Jiang Tian’s eyes are open.
An alternate take on the final scene from ep 11 - what if they had to face the thing they couldn't bear to?

Shi Qingxuan, somehow, has not changed much in the past five years. His hair still curls, eyes are still bright, and somehow, despite the impossibility of his life improving, Shi Qingxuan has yet to break. As she approaches him, Shi Qingxuan folds down the hood on his head and smiles at her.
“Would it be strange to ask for spare coin?” he asks.
Instead of answering, He Xuan thrusts the xiaolong in his hand. Shi Qingxuan takes it, very carefully untucking the fragile arm from a makeshift sling. He uses enervated fingers to pull open the top, inhaling the steam that spills out.

Pete feels breathless, as if admitting all of this is revealing the most vulnerable part of his soul. He hates it.
Vegas’s expression clears, and when he speaks his voice is dark, dangerous. “Is that what you need, baby? Do you need me to claim you in front of everyone? Fuck you in front of anyone who looks at me so they know who I belong to? How you’re the only one who gets to touch me?”

Other times, it seems as if though all of the Heavenly Realm's dirty laundry is being put to light by the gossiping ghosts, which is also not shocking, considering that gods love to gossip amongst themselves enough so that their words always end up leaking out. When you dropped me off, cold and alone?” He Xuan pauses his eating. The way his shoulders tense, it almost makes him look as frail as those jade teacups. Shi Qingxuan answers for him, since He Xuan cannot. “We owe nothing to each other, anymore. All debts written off the ledger.”
“...then, why do you wish to talk to me at all?”
“To see why you are here,” Shi Qingxuan answers, honestly. “I do wonder why, if we are really done with each other. Back then, you seemed very intent on wiping your hands clean of the entire situation.”
He Xuan remains stubbornly silent. Shi Qingxuan is not surprised.
“Your reasoning remains inscrutable,” he whispers. “I suppose that is how you like things. Does it make you feel more in control? When only you know the truth of your intentions? Ah. I have to leave, He Xuan. I suppose I will see you again when I come to the mortal realm. That is where I always find you following me.” Getting up, Shi Qingxuan leaves the table and exits the teahouse.
