Summary
Every night, he thinks maybe it would’ve been find if it was just one of them—they weren’t together, they weren’t together, they weren’t together—but wanting both was outright wrong, selfish, sick, selfish.
Yet there they are, two of them, three of them, sprawled across Renjun’s sheets, Chenle unclasping Jisung’s necklace at the same time Renjun undoes his belt and his chains, every spot their fingers brush burning hot, addictive.
So, Jisung whispers, “Don’t stop,” and lets himself melt from the heat when Renjun and Chenle take it as permission to finally touch skin.
(Or, Jisung has sex with the friends with benefits pair he’s been in love with for the past year.)

“Do you regret it?”
Jeno shakes his head. “Actually, I—” He trails off, though Chenle doesn’t get to make a shitty joke about a cat getting his tongue before he blurts, “Would you do it again?”
Oh.
Oh.
Chenle runs his tongue over his teeth. “Would you?” he counters.
(Or, Jeno, Chenle, and new years.)

Summary
Doyoung sees him again and again and again, until fifteen minutes of Johnny Suh become part of Doyoung’s daily routine against his will.
Fifteen minutes of Johnny Suh on the daily means learning his life story too, all at his default thousand decibel volume. He’s at every corner of Doyoung’s life, making himself known at any given time by donning the world’s most obnoxious Christmas apparel, and all it takes is a week for Johnny to skyrocket up Doyoung’s list of the most annoying people he knows to a neat second place.
(Or, Doyoung, Doyoung’s new neighbour, and the days leading up to Christmas.)

Summary
Home is the ache in Kun’s chest that pulses at its own beat, growing ever since they recorded this song.
The idea of speaking that thought aloud is about as appealing to Kun as drowning himself in the water a few metres ahead, so instead, he fiddles with the wooden model plane in his hands and mutters, “It reminds me of, I don’t know, something.”
It wasn’t meant to be funny, but Dejun laughs anyway.
(Or, Kun, Dejun, and what it means to come back home.)

Summary
Jeno’s breath hitches and something crazed flashes through his eyes, like a caged animal clawing at its bars, and Jisung thinks, I want to take you out to an aquarium and see what facial expression you make when you look at the fish they have that glow in the dark.
(Or, the entire time Jisung and Jeno are having sex, Jisung is a little preoccupied.)

How to solve a Scorpio’s relationship problems:
1. Suggest practice dating. Scorpios are attracted to passion and dramatic experiences, so by immersing them in an environment as close to dating as possible, it opens a gateway to allure that otherwise can’t be discerned from face value.
2. Accidentally get too close. Scorpios thrive in spontaneous situations, and unpredictable and ambiguous relationships embody this to a T. Nothing is more appealing to a Scorpio than circumstances with no clear ending.
3. Fall in love.
(Or, Chenle and Donghyuck try to figure solve Chenle’s dating problems. By dating.)

Renjun isn’t nervous about the song, isn’t nervous about their singing, isn’t nervous about how well they’re going to do on stage.
He’s nervous about the camera catching the in-betweens: the way his gaze can’t help itself from lingering on Chenle’s bright smiles, the way his voice softens when he talks about Chenle, when he talks to Chenle, the way he starts to sweat when Chenle reaches over and lets his hand eclipse his.
(Or, Renjun is nervous.)

Summary
Despite the sheer amount of sleepless nights Jisung put into planning every hour of today, his heart screams at him to stay by Chenle’s side all morning, so he can watch Chenle’s eyes widen to the size of the moon at the view from their window. And maybe a few extra hours after, so he can watch Chenle inevitably fall back asleep.
And maybe a few extra hours after that, just to watch Chenle.
(Or, Jisung, the night before, and the morning of his wedding.)

Summary
“I told you already, China was boring,” Chenle groans, flipping onto his back to stare at the ceiling. “Everything about this summer has been boring as shit, and in five more days, it’ll be over.”
Chenle could very easily build a tower to the sun with all the expectations he had for “his last true summer”, as his counselor dubbed it, and all of them have remained unmet.
Though, it’s probably his fault for thinking he’s in a universe where he has real decision making power over his life to begin with.
“Make the best of it, then,” Jeno says softly.
(Or, for the last week of the summer, Chenle visits Jeno at his hometown and some ghosts along the way.)

Summary
Renjun’s new apartment is far from perfect: the ceilings are popcorned, the trim is perpetually scuffed, and for some reason, all the appliances keep breaking. When an untimely flood hits in the dead of night, it’s just his luck that every one of his friends is occupied.
Every one of them except basketball-obsessed, gym rat, allergic-to-wearing-a-shirt Chenle.
(Or, living with Chenle is almost too easy.)

Summary
“I’m just saying.” Donghyuck knocks back his fruity little Starbucks drink and adjusts his glasses, the thick black plastic ones that make him look like the emoji that auto fills when you type “nerd” on your phone. “Ball guys are like horse girls. A horse girl will never love you as much as she loves her horses. A ball guy will never love you as much as he loves his balls.”
“Nice wording,” Renjun snorts as he clicks one of the multiple choice answers to his Quizlet test. What is the definition of Draymond Green?
(Or, Chenle likes basketball, and Renjun likes Chenle.)

Chenle doesn’t realise she’s staring until Jisung clears her throat and tilts her head. “Is there something on my face?”
There are bungeoppang crumbs on her chin.
“You’re so fucking beautiful,” Chenle replies. I’m so fucking in love with you, she thinks.
Jisung blinks, her face flushing pink. “I—uh. Thanks?”
(Or, how loving Jisung is the easiest thing Chenle has ever done.)

“Jun-ge, listen to me. Look at me.” Chenle doesn’t continue until Renjun stops looking at his eyebrow and meets him in the eyes. “When I told you I needed a break, I meant it. I can’t be your therapist, your bedside nurse, your mother, and your boyfriend all at the same time.” His voice falls when he finishes with, “That doesn’t mean I don’t want you to eat well.”
(Or, Renjun and art, Chenle and Renjun.)

“I drew a penis on your forehead!” Donghyuck proclaimed with a grin.
A few fleeting thoughts hit Jaemin, and they went in succession like, You spent fifty dollars on that eyeliner just to draw a penis on my forehead, then, I’m in love with you, then, I want to wake up next to you for the rest of my life even if it means you’ll keep drawing penises on my forehead, then, There’s an eyelash on your cheek.
(Or, context summarised, Jaemin is in love with Donghyuck. Boring, gay, L-word love.)

“That’s what this is about?” Mark sets Renjun’s phone down on the table. “You wrote a poem about…a guy that works with cats? At a café?”
“You make it sound stupider than it actually is,” Renjun groans, kicking him from under the table. In all fairness, it is stupid, very much so, but he can’t stand when his own stupidity is recognised by people that aren’t himself, Mark included. “Shut up and tell me if it’s good or not.”
(Or, Chenle works at a cat café part time, and Renjun is entirely normal about it.)

Summary
“It doesn’t have to be that perfect,” video Chenle says, voice more subdued than his usual sunny camera disposition. “Really, none of these date night foods have to be perfect. The care you put into your cooking is what makes the final dish taste good. My boyfriend has better knife skills than me anyway.” He says the last part with a laugh.
There’s a few extra seconds of Chenle explaining the kimchi soup base, but Jaemin can’t help replaying the “my boyfriend has better knife skills than me” part. It’s innocuous, yet it makes his heart skip a beat.
Then, Jaemin exits full screen and gets an eyeful of the caption.

Summary
Outside, it’s still raining. Last night was a new moon. Mercury is in retrograde. His shirt tag is itching his neck. Maybe that’s why Donghyuck’s mouth is loose enough to mutter, “It’s their third anniversary today.”
Third year of good night texts, expensive coffee shop dates, and matching jewellery.
(Fifth year of shared Spotify premium plan, 7-11 therapy dinners every other weekend, and Shakespearean flavoured misery.)
Chenle lets out a low whistle. “They’re basically married now, huh? You’re shit out of luck.”
(Or, Donghyuck is in love with his best friend.)

“There’s only one more set left, and she’s a killer,” Jeno insists, pouring out a fluorescent drink into a highball and sliding it to a girl further down in a pair of tractor tires for boots. “Everyone loves her, even first timers, I promise.”
Doyoung isn’t sure anything could save his night. He humours Jeno anyway. “What’s her name?”
Like a cue, all the lights go out, sending the crowd into an explosion of cheers, hoots, and cat calls. “Joanna!”
(Or, Doyoung is “straight” and Johnny does drag.)

Summary
Soobin and Beomgyu are a lot of things. “Fitting” isn’t one of them. “Good for each other” isn’t one, either.
“Good to each other”, well.
“On your knees,” Beomgyu rasps, head against the wall as one hand stays buried in Soobin’s hair, bringing him down. “C’mon, be good to me.”
(Or, Soobin and Beomgyu have been hooking up since Lovesick.)

“Are you sure about this?” Jisung frets, hand gripping Renjun’s so tight, the tips feel numb from lack of circulation.
“Sure enough for the both of us,” Renjun replies, eyes facing forward.
(Or, Jisung, Chenle, Renjun, and an assortment of celestial bodies.)
