“I wanted to ask your permission basically, he was yours first.”
Who?
He wondered, the thought dripped from his brain to his stomach through the silence. Who should Shinsou meet? His parents? No, they had met once before. His friends? Shinsou was sure he met all of Denki’s more important friends.No immediate response came and Shinsou held his breath. He picked the skin of his thumb with his right hand and the skin of his lip with his left.
“I think you should, but you don’t need to ask me Kami. You know it was always you in the end.” Midoriya answered, breaking the thick silence. Shinsou contemplated this answer. An ex? An ex then, one they both dated at some point or another. An ex boyfriend. Denki wanted Shinsou to meet his ex boyfriend.

Summary
Hitoshi has never had much interest in his electives; even though he tries to pick ones that look worthwhile, he’s usually too swamped with work for his major to put in the effort that he wants to. But this class is different, Kaminari makes it different. He shows up to class every day brimming with ideas – sketches and taglines on sticky notes and napkins crammed between his notebook pages – both for his own campaign and Hitoshi's. Kaminari helps push all his ideas that extra mile, taking them from a ‘neat concept’ to something real and intriguing. He's inspiring.
What's not inspiring is his shadow: the possessive, sharp tongued boy Kami claims to want nothing to do with, who hangs around outside their class and leaves evermore concerning bruises on Kami's small body.
Over the course of one semester, Hitoshi finally learns what it means to have a partner.

"midoriya?" shouta questioned, growing even more confused and worried when the boy stiffened at the sound of his own name. horrified green eyes snapped up to meet his gaze, filled with emotion shouta didn’t understand.
"w-what?" the boy breathed out, voice almost inaudible had shouta not been listening. "dad?"

Chronic migraines and night terrors were the most prevalent side effects of his quirk, in addition to Hitoshi’s already existent insomnia. No remedies they tried worked, whether that was medication, therapy, even down to outlandish old-wives-tale remedies. However, that’s not where the problem arose.
