The day Kei Tsukishima had decided to eat less hadn’t been a particularly bad one. He just needed his weight to go back to that constant number and then he would be fine again. The feeling pressing against his ribs would go away, and then Tadashi wouldn’t have to worry about him anymore.
Tsukishima sat up, pushing his headphones down around his neck. “I’ll walk you to the station.”
“No you won’t,” Akiteru called from the kitchen. “I’m making pork Katsudon. It’s nearly done.”
“I’m allergic to pork,” Tsukishima replied before walking toward the door and putting on his shoes. Tadashi scurried after him, eager to get out of the crossfire.
They’d just made it through the door when Akiteru popped around the corner again. “Since when—“

Summary
Akaashi soon provided an answer by rolling down his sleeve and revealing his tan slender wrist.
Even in the rather dim light, the names on Akaashi’s wrist glinted, catching the moonbeams and reflecting them back almost beautifully.
There they were, the names Tsukishima had cursed since they had appeared on his own wrist. Each one of them, each line, each character, the same as the one on his own. It would have been completely identical had Akaashi’s name been there.
This wasn’t Tsukishima’s wrist, however, and there was something different about seeing the names on someone else’s wrist. It made it feel more real, less dreamlike. These people really were made for each other.
Bokuto Koutarou, Kuroo Tetsurou…
The last name, of course, was not Akaashi’s name like it was on Tsukishima’s wrist. Instead, it was Tsukishima’s. Tsukishima Kei. It was written in gorgeous gold, glinting ever so slightly.
He had to repeat it over and over in his head. That was his name.

The funny thing is that ‘from’ was meant to imply he was no longer there. It’s an origin, and one he was proud of. He scavenged a way to grow from there, finally getting used to the high view he fought so desperately for. The boy was blissfully oblivious to his harsh fate that would send him crashing back down to his very roots, germinating from the cracks in the cold slabs.
Or: Shouyou gets injured during a crucial point in the Shiratorizawa match, and has to fight his way back to the top. Just when he thinks he has hit rock bottom, he also comes face-to-face with much deeper issues and insecurities he has been burying.
Someone he doesn’t expect to see all the way down, is their ever radiant and confident libero, Nishinoya Yuu.
