Summary
After a while, Derek swims closer to the bags floating inside the tank. In one bag, there is a yellow fish with spots and two horns on its head. In the other bag is two small blue and grey fish that look terrified to be there.
The yellow fish spots Derek and swims up as close as he can in the bag.
“Hi!” The fish says. “I’m Stiles! I guess we are going to be roommates now!”
Derek looked critically at the yellow fish, Stiles, before replying, “I’m Derek. You’re a weird shape for a fish.”
And it was true. Stiles was a weird box shape with lips that sort of stuck out and the two horns sticking out of his head. -

And from that day on the Stilinskis were the happiest pair of bondmates you would ever hope to find in Beacon Hills, and when Sentinel Stilinski became Papa Stilinksi, and then only a few years after that Sheriff Stilinski, his bondmate was always there to guide him along his way. His loving wife and the beautiful mother to his son. And after her death he would never be the same again, the emotional wound too jagged to fit another Guide within his life, like a puzzle piece with only one other matching cut-out, now gone forever.

Summary
The other factors sounded like complete bullshit. Like about Companions having certain dispositions for submission, and a personality built around wanting to please. Fuck that, Stiles was a strong independent man who didn’t need no wolf. Submitting was straight up taught in classes. Don’t talk back, try to reason not argue, never run away when your Mate was in heat. Mate? More like owner. There was a reason Companions were called pets. God Stiles hated it all, the hypocrisy. It was an honor? More like a life sentence.
An AU where werewolves are given humans as pets called Companions, and a very begrudging Stiles is taken in by Derek Hale, much to both their displeasure. And then pleasure. Very, very sexual pleasure.
