Goro doesn’t even get a chance to complain before Kurusu is sliding an arm around his back and beneath his knees. He’s immediately greeted by a wave of pain that outclasses all the others before, a kind of pain that makes him feel as if his entire body is breaking in two. Makes him think: fuck, maybe it actually is.
He grits his teeth. “Joker, stop.”
Kurusu instantly freezes, meeting his eyes with clear alarm.
“What’s wrong?”
“I think my hip might be broken.”

"Pray tell me, why is it that you keep picking me up, dear Crick?" Temenos' tone was teasing but his eyes looked honest.
Crick's steps came to a halt and he breathed deeply. Maybe he shouldn't say this, but his loosened tongue didn't care.
"Uhh, well, one could say that you're easy to pick up," he said. Gods, give him strength. "You're as light as a feather, you know, Temenos. And well, you appear to fit in my arms quite well. It feels right, I suppose." Crick felt very exposed, face as red as always.

It wasn't like Crick wanted to be constantly picking Temenos up in his arms. It had just spontaneously happened a few times, and who was Crick to tempt the Gods' plan? Besides, it's not like it meant anything, right?

But instead, there he lay, fast asleep. Shafts of deep golden sunlight fell across the man's sleeping form, and Hinata stared at him, transfixed. He had long, dark lashes and a finely shaped, straight nose, and low cheekbones with a proud jawline, all of which started to fill out some sort of stereotypical profile for a rugged jungle king.
If ever there had been someone created to survive the unforgiving landscape of the jungle, it was him.'
