Summary
Dallas is dead.
Dallas is dead, and Johnny is dead.
“Glory, look at the kid!” That's Two-Bit. His voice sounds warped and shrill, and it's so jarring to Darry that he feels like he may as well have gotten shot, too. He turns his head abruptly towards where Two-Bit was pointing, and he watches as his youngest brother turns an awful shade of grey as his eyes start to roll into the back of his head.
Dallas is dead, Johnny is dead, and Ponyboy has just collapsed, his limbs spilling out on the pavement.

Summary
The doctor grows worried. The longer he keeps the little blonde kid up on that table, the more his brow creases.
Eventually, he mumbles something unclear to Ponyboy and puts a set of headphones over his ears. It is silent, and the doctor keeps turning a dial and letting out a soft “mhm…” every time he presses a button and Ponyboy doesn’t react...He braces himself, heaving, and stares confusedly at the doctor.
Shoulders dropped, his suspicions are confirmed.
Ponyboy Curtis is going deaf.
----
Ponyboy's hearing has disappeared, and after Johnny's death, so has Dally. He misses his buddy, and he fears the worst as Dallas grows more and more distant. He's desperate to win his buddy back, even if he can't say it out loud.(my gift for @to-au-gift-trade on tumblr!)
