Gordon stares at the words through tear blurred eyes. He’s been crying for a while now, ever since he understood what the content of this letter really was about. It’s these last words though, that delivers the killing blow. The tears running down his face drips onto the paper, staining it and blurring the words even further.
While he knew things had been rocky between him and Tommy lately, he never expected things to be this bad. He knows exactly what caused it though. Who has caused this letter to arrive at his doorstep.

Gordon's jealousy and inability to let go of his anger towards Benrey costs him his relationship with the one good thing in his life, Tommy. In his attempt to get back together with him though, Gordon gains an unlikely ally and things starts to take a turn.

Even with over a year of therapy Gordon can’t stop the panic bubbling up in his chest at Benrey’s words.

“How could he forget about me?” Tears start rolling down his cheeks, voice getting increasingly upset. “Why doesn’t he FUCKING REMEMBER ME?”
“W-who...who doesn’t remember you Benrey?” Darnold cautiously walks closer only to stop in his tracks when Benrey starts screaming.
“HE FORGOT EVERYTHING. HE DIDN’T EVEN REMEMBER MY NAME. I GOT THIS STUPID FUCKING JOB JUST TO SEE IF HE’D REMEMBER BUT HE DOESNT.”
