“You're new,” Jisung proclaims.
Minho snorts. “Am I?”
“Well, I've never seen you here before.”
“Because you know all of their wedding guests?”
Jisung has to laugh. “I know most of Hyunjin’s side,” he says.
“Well obviously I’m a friend of Seungmin’s.”
Jisung pauses to stare, eyes narrowing with curiosity. “Yeah,” he plays along. “But you’re new.”
Minho chuckles. “You keep saying that. What does that mean?”
“I mean that you’re new. Here. Today. New. I’ve experienced this wedding over thirty times now and—” his breath hitches because he really just said that out loud, but there’s an immediate flicker in Minho’s eyes that has him exhaling with relief.
“Oh. Well.”
alternatively: In which Jisung gets stuck repeating the day when his best friend gets married, only to meet a brand new friendly face a month into the grueling experience.

Summary

Said monster seems pretty nice, and said monster is weirdly attractive enough where it is completely hindering Minho’s better judgement.

“You come climbing down the fire escape to invade my privacy by knocking on my window to ask for a favour?” Minho asks incredulously. He immediately goes to push the window down to shut it, but the stupid thing always gets stuck when he opens it. This is why he rarely opens his window. God damn it.
The stranger makes perfect use of his delay, hopping in place with the franticness of his words. “Please! I can’t go through my own apartment, my roommates are fucking on the couch."----
5 times in which Jisung climbs down the fire escape, and 1 time Minho climbs up it.

“What’s your story about, then?” Minho asks.
Jisung winces. “And therein lies my problem,” he admits. “My story is about nothing so far.”
“Well, what kind of story are you thinking of writing?”
Jisung thinks about the kind of stories he wants to tell—the kind of stories he used to write when he was younger; stories about superheroes, and fantastical adventures; about young boys with big dreams and even bigger promise and determination.
That was the kind of boy he used to be, and maybe that’s why it’s so hard to write the same kinds of stories now. He’s attached to the same hero, but it’s not who he has become.
Alternatively; In which Jisung decides to temporarily move to a small rural village in an attempt to battle writer's block.

Seungmin once told Minho that in the event of an apocalypse, he'd choose to save him - even over Hyunjin, who was his best friend and was widely accepted by everyone as Seungmin's favorite person in the entire world - and Minho had always taken pride in it because this was high praise. Anyone who knew Seungmin would answer his name when asked who they would take with them to a deserted island (or, by substitution, an apocalypse).
