Summary
Killua must be an incredibly strong man, Gon thought. Not just for the obvious, but for the fact that despite everything, his hands could still be gentle.
Gon is a Blacklist Hunter, hired by an unidentified client to locate and capture a sadistic, ruthless assassin who by all accounts doesn't - or shouldn't - exist. He's fought for his strength for this, to save people. He just wants to make sure nobody else gets hurt.
Killua is a product, the decades-long outcome of his family’s loving labour to bend, break, and torture him into a tool of purpose. He is a dog to be set loose, a judgement to be brought down. He is not supposed to want anything at all.
And then one day, he does.
(An alternate timeline where Gon and Killua never met, and Killua never escaped his family. Somehow, despite it all, they still manage to find each other.)

Gon Freecss was always destined for greatness.
When he was born, the gods of the world delivered a prophecy about the boy. One that spoke of talents and glory and fame that would far surpass the greatness of his King Father, and a name so enduring that it would ripple through the world long after his immortal mother had faded into obscurity.
This prophecy never spoke of an exiled prince, one who would be there for much of his life and dread every moment that came closer to his death.
One who loved him and was loved by him above all else.
