Summary
And, here, looking at his best friend, he can see that something’s broken inside him, too. And, maybe it’s the therapy he’s had over the years, his sessions with Frank, but Eddie wants to talk to Buck. He wants Buck to talk to him. Buck, who just looks so fucking sad, still in his dress blues, one hand drinking the beer, the other coming up to loosen his tie.
This morning, Eddie had noticed Buck tying, untying, retying the tie with breaths of frustration, fingers shaking. “Eddie,” he’d said lowly from across the room, and Eddie wouldn’t have even heard him if he hadn’t been watching. “I, uh, can never – I can never get this right.”
*
In the aftermath of Bobby’s death, Buck and Eddie need to learn to embrace change, settle into a new normal - a life without Bobby, and life navigating feelings for each other. A vision of what season 9 could be.

Summary
Folk magic: Usually simple charms, spells or rituals passed down from person to person or within a community, commonly used for healing, luck, fertility, divination and protection from harm.
Folk belief: A broad genre of folklore that is often expressed in narratives, customs, rituals, foodways, proverbs, and rhymes.
Merlin's use of charms and cures leads Arthur to believe that Merlin is a sorcerer. Little does Arthur know, Merlin is, in fact, a sorcerer. Either way, he's going to keep the idiot from the pyre.

Summary
Chris stumbles across Eddie's teenage journal, forcing him to re-evaluate everything he ever thought he knew about his parents.
-or-
The second Chris saw the beat-up leather journal with “Property of Eddie Diaz” emblazoned on the front in a somewhat childish version of his dad’s familiar scrawl, he knew that he should put it back beneath the loose floorboard where it had stayed hidden away for probably a decade and a half. No doubt placed there as a way of keeping it hidden from the prying hands of two nosy younger sisters and parents that Chris was increasingly learning could be unbearably overbearing.
But he didn’t want to.

Summary
She looks up at the sky, less at the twinkling stars and more at that big beautiful moon she’s always loved. It sounds way too woo-woo to say out loud, but that’s her girl, that moon. She’s always loved her.
“Great speech,” she says. Not the moon, obviously. Shannon turns around to see that Taylor Kelly is the person speaking. Taylor Kelly in a very, very, very nice dress.

Summary
“What are you celebrating?”
Buck’s voice made Eddie spin around with wide eyes, clamping his mouth shut. He probably looked like a deer caught in headlights.
Buck raised a questioning eyebrow at him, and Eddie opened his mouth to say something, except he didn’t know what, because he couldn’t exactly tell Buck that the reason for their celebration was the death of his ex-boyfriend.
And, listen. Eddie has no clue why his following response was the one to tumble out of his mouth. Maybe because he was thinking about Tommy, his brain was making the connection to ‘gay.’ He really has no other explanation.
“My coming out.”
Or: How Eddie celebrating Tommy's death leads to him having to 'pretend' to be gay.
