Merlin is not a jealous person. He’s been sharing Arthur with other Omegas for nearly two years, and from the moment the masks between them came off, eight months ago, he’s been very sure of Arthur’s feelings for him. Summary
Ancient Melody: An old druidic slang term referring to the Call to Destiny. All people will experience this calling at some point in their lives, with many druids describing this as sounding like an enchanting song. Those who try ignoring it will often find that they cannot do so for very long.
A travelling bard is a wonderful guise for a druid. They go wherever they wish, never staying in one place for long enough to be found out. However, like all druids, Wren has avoided Camelot like to plague for fear of being caught.
However, when she learns Merlin, her childhood best friend, is in Camelot after his own Call to Destiny, Wren decides it’s time to go too.
She’s been ignoring her destiny, her call for far too long out of fear. But now, she knows it’s time to listen. Time to follow that Ancient Melody to Camelot and see where it leads her.

The side of her face that remained facing him was spotted with old, familiar scars, mottling her eyebrow into patches and making her right ear small with ruin. The skin was dragged like rivers over her cheekbone and jaw, a little pale and tough. Merlin loved her, loved this face, though he knew it disgusted the town. But, for the first time, Merlin reckoned he knew just how this had happened to her, just whose fire this was.

Simply put, this fic sprung into existence when I originally thought that Arthur and Merlin reminded me a bit of Nick and Charlie, and the universe forced me to write this by showing me a comment saying they were "medieval heartstopper".
This is a fic that is basically the entire story of Heartstopper, just with the characters from Merlin inserted. Featuring: A shoddy attempt to be partially accurate of the time period, in some of the least-important aspects possible; Arthur being entirely honest to himself about his feelings... eventually; Merlin finding the strength he needs to go after peace; emotional outbursts, mishaps, and conversations; a dog, at some point; magic being welcomed back into Camelot; and, perhaps most importantly, a whole bunch of love.
