Summary
Vio did not have the best relationship with sleep. It wasn’t quite clear when it started, and somehow, Vio thought that it may have always been this way for him. He couldn’t remember many nights where sleep came easy, or where he was tired enough to rest for more than a few hours uninterrupted. During the adventure, it was fine to sleep only a couple of hours a night—expected, even, with how hectic their days had been.
But now, months after Vaati and Ganon’s defeat… Vio was still unable to rest.

Vio scowled down at his boots, resisting a shiver that rattled through his bones. He might have his sword, but neither he nor Blue had packed any potions. For all of Blue’s usual preparedness, his hat only had a first aid kit, some snacks, a lantern, and his hammer. They were lucky the tunnel had such a low ceiling, or their fall into the shallow water could have left them with more than just scrapes and bruises…

“This,” Shadow pulled out the mirror, waving it around for emphasis a foot from Vio’s face. “Doesn’t work. I got about a hundred feet from those Goddess-forsaken ruins when I started feeling like shit, but when I tried to go back in the mirror--” Shadow waved his hands more, sharp teeth bared. “Nothing! I’m stuck here!”
“That shouldn’t be the case--” Vio began, the pain in his skull lessening enough to let him think. And as soon as he did, the pieces snapped into place, creating a grim picture of his error clear in his mind. “Oh, shit.”
“What? What is it?” Shadow scrambled forward, latching slightly sharp fingers onto Vio’s shoulders. “What did you do to me?”
“It’s actually ‘what did I do to us’, I’m afraid."---
Vio manages to bring Shadow back to the light world, but a small mistake leads to a terrible fate for more than just the two of them... or, an opportunity to strengthen the ties that bind.

Summary
The Zora race used to be proud allies and friends of the Hylians. When the Hero fell and a good land was corrupted, the Zoras slowly became twisted and vicious. It was said the Hero of Legend managed to get along with some of them, but that was centuries ago.
