Summary
Daeron's head turned with the force of the blow, slowly, and he brought one hand up to cup his jaw and worked it carefully. Then he looked back at you, his eyes very wide, and there was something in them - not hurt, exactly, or not only hurt, but something that might be, absurdly, the beginning of a kind of relief. As though being slapped by you was better than the alternative of not being slapped by you, of not having found you at all.
"I deserved that, I suppose," he groaned.
"You suppose," you retorted, voice sharp with malice.
"I think - yes, I think unambiguously yes, on reflection."

Summary
Daeron was of the opinion that he needn’t have come with his uncle Rhaegel as they traveled to the Eyrie, but his father insisted that Daeron go, hoping the honor and chivalry so prevalent in the Vale will change his drunken, whoring ways.
What he gets is an attack on their entourage, being taken by one of the mountain clans, and sent off as an offering to the fire-witch’s pet.
Except the pet is no monster, the witch is a girl with startlingly familiar eyes, and Daeron finds himself faced with a dragon long thought to be dead.
(In which a modern girl is reborn as a descendant of Nettles)

Summary
Princess Daenora Targaryen was born beneath watchful eyes.
Her father dreamt of dragons and it consumed him. A sorceress held her first. From her earliest days, the child did not weep as others did. She watched.
In the Red Keep, such things do not go unnoticed.
While kings weigh daughters as future alliances and queens whisper Dornish prayers over their cradles, Daenora’s fate entwines itself with that of her cousin, Prince Aerion Targaryen — a prince as brilliant as he is perilous. Where others shrink from his pride and growing cruelty, Daenora finds herself drawn ever closer, as though flame calls to flame.
What begins as fascination deepens into devotion. What should have been caution becomes allegiance. And in a house built on fire and blood, devotion may prove the deadliest spark of all.
For some dragons are destined to rule.
Others are destined to burn.
Perhaps, this time, as rare as it can be, they might be amongst those who will do both - together.
*A reimagined story of Princess Daenora - daughter of Prince Rhaegel and wife to Prince Aerion Targaryen*

Summary
“Do you know,” Lyonel said at last, studying her, “you stand as if the gods might take notes? Straight spine. Careful hands. As though the Seven will peer down and say yes, that one is behaving correctly.”
The princess did not answer. Lord Baratheon noticed quite early that his lady wife was not much of a conversationalist. Not much of a dancer nor a drinker, either. Her eyes only flicked to him – cool and watchful.
It made Lyonel smirk. “Maekar’s work”, he added lightly. Hammer it in early and it never cracks. Gods forbid she bends. Bending is how things break.
She lifted her chin a fraction. Not defiance. Barely curiosity.
He drank again, wiping his mouth with the back of his hand before stepping closer. “You don’t look when I expect it. You don’t laugh when I expect it. You don’t even speak when I expect it,” he said, almost accusing. “That is dangerous. Makes a man try harder.”
