Wei Wuxian mused sullenly while sipping his wine. He didn’t even notice Jiang Cheng spinning the bottle again until it was stopping, pointed at Wei Wuxian himself and indicating Nie Huaisang should be the one asking the question.
Ah, shit. Here we go again, he winced internally as his friend asked whether he’d like truth or dare. The dares had been working just fine for me. If I stick to them and choose truth only sporadically to throw them off, it’ll be alright.
“Dare! Let’s go!”
Nie Huaisang didn’t miss a beat.
“I dare you to kiss Lan-er-gongzi”
Wei Wuxian gaped. He was only faintly aware of Jiang Cheng spitting out a mouthful of his drink somewhere to his left.
Nie Huaisang grinned.
“On the mouth ”, he clarified.

The emperor blinked, a complicated expression washing over his face before it settled into a forced smile as he turned back to his guests. Lan Wangji chanced a glance at the empress, just to see the fire burning in her displeased eyes. Unlike the emperor, she did not try to hide it.
The emperor exhaled a chuckle before he said, “Apologies, old friend. It seems I will have to ask you for one more favor.”
“Do not worry, your highness,” Lan Qiren said. “I will have my nephew, Wangji, bring your son home safely immediately.”
“Even if you have to drag him back crying and screaming,” the empress said, words spat out with unrestrained anger, “you get that boy home immediately.”
After Wen Ruohan makes a direct threat against the emperor, the knights of Gusu Lan are summoned to bring the princes and princess to safety at Lotus Pier. They manage to make it to their destination without a scratch, but it does not take long before trouble finds them anyway—and Lan Wangji must make a choice.

They both turned to Lan Qiren in pure horror, Lan Zhan’s body instinctively leaning over Wei Yingʼs to shield him from Lan Qiren's furious gaze and to protect him from the unwanted presence of another alpha in Wei Yingʼs safe place despite the blanket hiding both of them anyways, only Lan Zhan's shoulders being visible.
But that was enough for Lan Qiren to notice first thing, his nephew's bare shoulders, then his nephew's bare forehead, and the omega lying under him that was probably also naked underneath the duvet, before Lan Qiren's face started taking a deeper, concerning shade of red, his nostrils flaring as his chest heaved rapidly, his scent spiking and sharpening as a vein popped out on his forehead.
He parted his lips to probably give Lan Zhan the worst and harshest yelling and lecturing of his life, only for him to drop to the ground with a loud huff of robes.

Summary
Wei Wuxian, freshly resurrected, is stuck at the Cloud Recesses as a… he doesn’t even know what. Prisoner? Hostage? Guest? Lan Wangji didn’t really ask him, he just grabbed and dragged him to the Jingshi. In order to escape, he creates a plan. The plan is simple: annoy Lan Wangji by being loud, thrashing around and breaking as many rules as possible. When annoyed, Lan Zhan will kick him out, and he will finally be free.
There is only one problem. Lan Wangji just continues feeding him and putting him to sleep without batting an eye. He does give Wei Wuxian a lot of strange dark stares, but overall does not act on his annoyance.

Wei Wuxian’s favorite form for Lan Wangji is when he’s fully dragoned. What he likes especially is when Lan Wangji is a small, thin dragon small enough to curl in his pocket. Wei Wuxian will carry him around for hours at a time, padding through the forests in search of trouble. Sometimes he finds it and the dragon erupts from his robes, but often enough he only finds a small, pointless adventure that is entertainment enough. Oftentimes, when Wei Wuxian meanders through the bustling streets, he buys grapes or candies. Every so often he’ll pass one to dragonji in his pocket, laughing when Lan Wangji misses the candy in the dark and licks his fingers instead.
