Summary
Even less reliable than superstitions are divinations. An exorcist requires innate strength, but their success is a matter of memorized knowledge and its use. Actions, consequences. Fortune-telling exists in the ambiguity of youkai themselves. Signs must be interpreted, metaphors parsed, exact conditions met. Asking a dozen people for one's fortune would result in a dozen variations, and when the fortune came to be, each fortune-teller would find ways to bend their own words to suit what had happened. It's the supernatural for fools, romanticists, or both.
I wonder what that makes me, Seiji thinks, hands folded inside his kimono, eye falling off irrelevant scrolls in the family library.

Summary
Seiji has the real Shuuichi here, with him; no one else gets to be inside him, hear the specific hitch in his breath from arousal, witness his belabored nighttime routine, all of that is Seiji’s alone. But there’s so much of Shuuichi that is for public consumption; his looks, his charm, his body.
Seiji’s never been any good at sharing.

Summary
Now, after the axis of his world was tilted askew, Seiji wanted to see what eye color that all of the kittens' would develop just as much as he wished to see how retirement would fit itself for Shuuichi, for them both together. For once, he stopped himself from tucking his true intentions in between the lines for Shuuichi to read, and so Seiji let his sleep-muddled mind do the talking, croaking out the truth as he cupped his boyfriend's face. "I just wanted all of us to grow old together. Is that too much to ask?"
Or: after finding a litter of kittens post-exorcism, Seiji and Shuuichi has been taking several day offs to care for the lovely devils, but nothing lasts forever when both of their demanding jobs awaited them, leaving no one to care for the young felines. Seiji wasn't ready to let them go.

Seiji brings a hand up and hovers it by Shuuichi’s shoulder, pleased when the gecko reappears from Shuuichi’s back. He draws his hand up slowly, tracking the gecko as it trails along after his hand. Realistically, Seiji knows he could move faster, but he enjoys the way Shuuichi squirms a little, so he takes his time with it, fingers hovering just over the skin.

He's sure they were.
They were arguing about something, but Juwon can't put his finger on whatever it was. Largely because his fingers are otherwise occupied tangling themselves into Dongsik's hair as he tries to pull him somehow even closer, like he can kiss the man close enough to fuse their bodies.
Dongsik isn't helping matters, what with the way his arms have banded around Juwon's waist, and he's not sure which of them is leading but eventually Dongsik's back hits a wall and there's an audible sigh of relief as he tightens his hold on Juwon, hand creeping up his spine to nudge him yet closer.
They were arguing about something, Juwon remembers.
Han Juwon and Lee Dongsik are in love with each other, this much is obvious. But who realises first? (ft. everybody's POV)

[...] Lee Dongsik finds himself staring at the thread of spit that still connects their mouths together; he's able to tear his gaze away from that bruised, shiny mouth only when Han Juwon asks, clearly struggling to pronounce the words right, his voice thick with arousal: “What…what are you laughing at?”
His silence, for once, must be more frightening that any words that crazy mind of his could come up with and utter; he can feel it in the tensing of Han Juwon's body under his hands, in the way he grows more and more desperate with his searing kisses, his panicked mouth moving from Lee Dongsik's lips to his neck, nipping at the hollow of his throat, and then finally returning to his dimpled cheeks.
