Jungkook lets out a long breath. “It’s not weird, right?”
“Hmm?”
“What we just did. It’s not weird because we’re friends.”
“Ah.” Taehyung lets silence overpower them for a few seconds. “I don’t think it’s weird,” he eventually mumbles his way through the lie that he’s not sure he believes himself. But, fuck, does he want to. “We’re friends.”
“Yeah,” Jungkook says, though it’s more of a sigh than a real response. “We do everything together anyway.”
“We do.”

Black Swan, an up-and-coming alternative metal rock band, is going on its first official tour. Jungkook looks forward to proving himself in a cutthroat industry, and Taehyung looks forward to the groupies. Neither expects to find the comfort their hearts truly desire in one another.

Summary
When Gale smashes a backhand, and Egan lunges for it, but the quick bounce spins it just past his racket, he stumbles, catches himself on his hands with his racket clattering against the hard court, and he starts laughing, wet and winded—laughing still as he straightens up, cheeks reddened, glistening under the sun. He scrubs the back of his wrist, his black sweatband, over his forehead.
“See? You love it when I make your dad mad.”
“Egan,” Gale warns, but all the authority is lost in his panting. Egan wipes his forehead again, racket tapping his thigh.
“Missed playing with you, Buck.”
“We played two weeks ago, in Cincinnati. C’mon, still your serve.”

Jeongguk is fairly sure he’ll make whatever promise Taehyung wants him to make.
“Whatever you want, Taehyung-ssi.”
“Now you’re playing with fire,” the man says, a hint of something serious to his words. “Promise me you won’t start minding your manners now.”
“I can assure you that I won’t.”
“Good,” Taehyung mumbles, then he unhooks the strap, letting it fall to the side before he undoes the other side, freeing his face from the constraints of his surgical mask.
When it finally does register, Jeongguk feels his mouth fall open. Jeongguk doesn’t like breaking promises, but he’s about to do just that.
“Oh, fuck me.”
