Summary
As the Enterprise prepares to launch for its five-year mission, rumors of friction amongst its young, unseasoned bridge crew continue to reach Starfleet’s ears: a teenage cadet at the helm, a chief engineer with a disciplinary record, a very public breakup between the communications and science officers, and a juvenile delinquent in the captain’s chair. Admiral Pike’s endorsement isn’t enough to sway the whole panel, so a compromise is reached: while the crew are grounded during their twelve-month refit, they’re assigned a psych eval team from Starfleet Medical. But when all the standard workplace trust exercises in the book fail to make a dent, third-year med student Ben Jung - a ship’s counselor in training - is sent along on their three-month shakedown cruise on orders from Pike to find SOME way to turn this bickering hornet's nest of former cadets into a harmonious leadership team, and decides to try something a little more . . . unconventional.

Summary
Tim Drake never actually wanted to become part of the Robin-Batman-vigilante outfit. No, really. But the last Robin up and died, and now Batman is going crazy, and no one else is doing anything about it, so...Tim decides to become Robin. He might as well, right? At the very least it'll give him something to do while his parents are gone.
Still, Tim's not taking up the mantle until he can put a couple of things in order. Step one? Making sure the Joker can't get it into his head to kill another Robin. Not ever again. (Good thing Tim's not the one with a 'no killing' rule.)
And then after that? Well, after that it's only just a matter of keeping Batman from learning Tim's identity and subsequently chasing him off. Not until Bruce can get back on his feet and pick a new Robin, a real one this time. Easy-peasy.

She licked her chapped lips, then continued, "Look, if things had been different, I would never have told you the truth and we would all have continued with our lives. But Jack has decided to become a rich widower, who knows maybe he wants to marry one of his mistresses. I don't know and I don't care. What matters to me is that when I'm gone, Timothy may have someone to rely on. Can you do at least that?"
Bruce hesitated. There were tons of reasons to say no. Too many.
But that was a dying woman's wish. Who was he to deny it?
"Okay, Janet," he finally gave up.
“I will take care of Timothy.”
She smiled weakly, "Then you're not a coward like I thought."

After Jason's death, Bruce has to start over. He doesn't have the luxury of giving himself up to crime-fighting with no quarter, not with a child to take care of.

In a fix-it fic rigorously adhering to the dictates of a challenge, and in the year 26 BBY we find Obi-Wan Kenobi realizing that just because Anakin is being a typical fifteen year old and avoiding seated meditation, doesn’t mean he should continue to allow it. Even if it did make life easier to just let him meditate and tinker.
Off screen, Count Dooku has inadvertently choked on an artisanal brioche and sadly died, thus instantly dissolving the mental corruption he had overlayed onto Jango Fett’s mind to make him just a teensy bit more malleable.
What follows is an absolutely inevitable outcome, because that’s how shatterpoints work.
