“In another world where we—you and me—could have loved each other instead of needing to kill each other?” He whispers, placing his head on Dream's shoulder.
A moment of silence overtakes them before Dream speaks again.
He replies with a simple, “Yes.”
Love is an ignorant lie that humans will indulge in. That's why they will forever be mortal, that's why we're dying and the world will be his, my love.Or, Dream and George are in love, but they never got to love.
