Summary
Hizashi shrieked, flying out of the bathroom. His long hair was down and streaming behind him and with the toothpaste foam clinging around his mouth, he looked like some rabid, wild creature, green eyes wide, the white showing around them.
"...spider?"
"There's a man in the bathroom! He has blonde hair!"
"Actually, the blonde man is no longer in the bathroom, he ran out screaming."
"Shouta!" Hizashi shook him. "There's a man. In the fucking. Bathroom!"
"How would anyone even get in here? You locked the door?"
"He came through the fucking wall!" Hizashi's voice went up an octave.
"Bullshit. A blonde guy just walked through our fucking wall into the bathroom? What kind of-"
"Um."
Hizashi and Shouta froze, a strange tableau on the bed, Hizashi gripping Shouta. That voice belonged to neither of them.
Shouta and Hizashi stop at a Bed and Breakfast late at night. Little do they know that it's haunted. Or how it will change their lives.

Summary
The one where Yu Ziyuan time traveled but she thought that it was her visions of her alternate life.
She learned that there is a brat named Wei Ying who brought destruction to her and her family's life.
And so in her present, she vowed that she will never allow that to happen.
In which Yu Ziyuan found the four-year-old Wei Ying, newly pushed out of the inn where his parents left him, and decided that no, this child must never be associated with her, her family, and their sect at all.
And so Yu Ziyuan thought that she could bring him somewhere where someone may or may not find him but definitely far from where her husband could find him. If he's lucky, he'll survive that winter, if he's not, then death awaits the fevered child.
This is the extent of mercy that Yu Ziyuan could give a child.
With this, she'll raise her children without having to deal with a brat that brings trouble where he goes according to her visions of her alternate life.
Like the tag stated, this is definitely not Yu Ziyuan centric.

He takes the children to buy black suits, he leaves them behind in the apartment, twelve-year-old A-Huan assuring him he’s old enough to be left alone with his brother, to go to their house and oversee it being packed up, the furniture sold, the personal effects of his brother and his wife put in storage.
There’s no room for decisions or education. Only him sitting at his table with two children, eating in silence, only hearing A-Huan whispering to his brother in the middle of the night, only the three of them all tangled up together with grief and confusion and pain.
And the certainty that he isn’t… that he won’t be a good parent.
