“Um,” The manager says. He pretends to write something in his notepad. “Okay. Yeah.”

Summary
The two are very aware of their nerdy friend’s tendencies to keep to himself. For all the time they’ve spent together, since seeing each other in diapers to the throes of adolescence, Cheren still values his own privacy, whenever it isn’t wrangled out of his hands by his supposed best friends.
It’s the status quo. There are never any feelings hurt, because all three of them have long since become immune to each other’s worst habits, and learned to adapt to them in a way that effortlessly melts into their steel-like friendship.
That was exactly it. Only them.
In which the Xtransceiver side quest from B2W2 gets passed onto Cheren instead.
