Summary
Almost two centuries after the events of Vampires SMP, the surviving vampires gather in Oakhurst to mourn and commemorate their fallen friends. Joining them are five humans who are eerily familiar--including one who kickstarts the beacons and locks them all in again.
Can the newcomers trust these people who are intertwined in their returning memories and who seem overly invested in their lives? Can the vampires escape Oakhurst without losing anyone else? And what the hell happened to Avid?

post-canon starting just shy of 200 years since canon; Scott encounters someone who looks just like Pyro & sounds just like Pyro & has Pyro’s name…; reincarnation au where Oakhurst has fate bending powers & forces reality into bringing everyone back 200 years later, including everyone who died in canon coming back & reliving their pre-Oakhurst lives, just 200 years later & to the left a bit; reincarnated characters don’t remember past lives beyond vague life long nightmares; Martyn is a gremlin & fucking insane (not significant really but DAMN); author is bloodletting truther

I use grammarly pro to occasionally adjust sentance structure and very rarely, it changes some wording (a more detailed explanation of my process is on page 13)

The number of small, specific sensory details, especially sound & smell, that are rendered with such beautiful care & metaphor, is so very lovely.

This… is so sweet. It is soft & sweet & excruciating & sharp. It so perfectly gives a world where Doc & Owen could be honest with each other enough to truly grab hold with enough grip to get through to the points of being to move through the pain rather than trapped within it & see past the warping it created in their reason.
I stayed up far too late reading this (it is now 2:30 am), & it made me cry multiple times.
