As his gaze sweeps the lounge again, scanning for blonde strands styled in that perfectly imperfect hairdo and that razor-sharp smile, his pulse stutters.
Lucifer is gone.
Alastor blinks, forcing himself to focus, to push past the haze of alcohol and noise, but the room is crowded with bodies, demons handpicked to join the most unholy celebration of hedonism Hell can conjure. Figures blur together, an indistinct mass of movement and colour.
And then, from beneath the tall arch framing the doorway, carmine eyes meet his own.
Lucifer stands at the threshold, glancing back over his shoulder as though daring Alastor to follow.

Summary
Therapy is a powerful step that any individual can take towards stability, self-actualization, and healing. In the aftermath of sudden great tragedy or deep rooted trauma, it takes a certain degree of self awareness and determination to take such a step forward in mental health.
Unfortunately, Lucifer Morningstar is fighting every step of the way. And it's going to take a lot more kindness, emotional support, and rubber ducks than anyone believed to get this man on the right path.
And by God, or whatever higher power that exists, Agatha, ex-Licensed Professional Counselor, will drag him all the way to the end kicking and screaming if she has to.
