Ratio, for one, has felt nothing short of raw affection that envelops him so completely it threatens to knock him breathless. As he and Aventurine grew accustomed to their new soulmate bond, there were several times when Aventurine would freeze and stare incredulously at the typical, stoic expression on Ratio’s face contrasting with the swell of unabashed love rising in his chest at the smallest things. The way the first rays of dawn filter through the bedroom blinds and shimmer brightly in Aventurine’s eyes as he opens them and smiles instinctively when Ratio is the first thing he sees. The little sigh of contentment when Aventurine takes the first sip of the coffee Ratio brewed in the morning, made just the way he knows Aventurine likes it. The glint of their matching rings, and the clinking sound it makes against the tablet when Aventurine takes it and proceeds to rattle off commands to his subordinates, calculations running through his mind behind his usual smile that only Ratio is privy to.
He is lucky - they are both lucky.
