Summary
Bass has only ever known life under Wily being told that his only purpose is to destroy Mega Man, but no one ever asked what HE wants, or even wondered if he was a he. After accidentally freeing Wily's secret project and being banished from Wily's keep, Bass has to take on a new life as a runaway. But he's lucky that Blues knows a thing or two about being alone. An unlikely allyship emerges as Bass is hunted, but Blues also knows about staying hidden, but that's Bass's problem. He isn't subtle. Despite that, Blues may have more in common with the rejected Wilybot than he would like to admit. He doesn't need anyone else. It's better to be alone, because no one can hurt you, and you don't hurt anyone else.
As Dr. Light slowly starts revealing parts of his past to Rock and Roll, as well as his own secret project, Rock begins to question Light's intent and image of nonviolence. Maybe it's possible for his creator to be WRONG about some things. And Rock isn't sure if he likes that. With the help of a mysterious human with a nebulous vested interest in robotics, the children of Wily and Light must learn to face the facts. The only problem is that no one can agree what the "facts" are.
