“You brought a friend,” is what she says. Her face is carefully blank as she watches Goro’s coworkers send each other glances that Goro pretends he doesn’t see.
“Pleased to meet you,” Goro says and lays on the charm because fuck, he wants to make a good impression.
She makes a complicated expression, eyebrows pinching together and pursing her lips. Only for a moment, though, before her expression hardens into something determined and understanding. She ends up smirking, dark red lips parting to reveal a flash of dangerous sharp teeth. Goro’s head is reeling. “Nice to meet you,” She says, extending a single gloved hand toward him to shake.

Summary
It’s then, with those stormy grey eyes seeing right through him, one slender hand slowly caressing down his spine and dipping under the waistband of his dress pants, that Goro realizes he is staring up at Ren from the bottom of the grave he’d dug for himself.
And Ren, gentle, beautiful Ren, puts the final nail in the coffin.
“I love you,” he laughs into their kisses, easily, as if he didn’t have to think about it, as if he wasn’t afraid that one day he’d wake up and understand that Goro had been a mistake.
Time slows to a crawl as Goro’s world tilts on its axis.
“You don’t know what you’re saying,” he hisses under his breath, paralyzed.

Summary
“Stargazing, huh?” Goro says, and glances up at the sky. It’s dark with light pollution, or maybe clouds, or both, if Akira has to guess. “I suppose when you’ve lived in a city like Tokyo all your life, the chances are few and far between. My increasingly busy schedule doesn’t help.”
“I’ll take you,” Akira blurts, and watches Goro’s eyebrows shoot towards his hairline. “To see the stars. You’d like it.”
Goro’s mouth parts in surprise, before he pleasantly links his hands in front of him with a smile. “I think I’d quite enjoy that.”

“Yeah, jackass.” Ryuji grips his hammer tight. “Tell us how to wake him up. Or else.”
The shadow’s laughter echoes, shrill and broken. “I am humanity’s shade,” she says, “Your hopes, your dreams. I am the stories you tell at night.”
“You’re testing my fucking patience,” Goro says, gritting his teeth.
She turns to look at him, tilting her head with slow, cat-like grace. Goro widens his stance and grips the hilt of his sword. He refuses to look away. She glances up and down his form, yellow eyes narrow, searching. Then, she stops; she smiles. “You can wake him up with love,” she says. “True love.”

Summary
Goro Akechi and Akira Kurusu had entered into this industry together and stolen hearts across the country as Joker and Crow in the now beloved TV series, The Phantom Thieves. Five years after the series finale, however, they’ve gone their separate ways, with Akira continuing on his acting path and Goro finding himself drawn to directing.
Goro knew, deep down, that their paths would cross once again. After all, he’s already got two critically acclaimed films under his belt, and Akira has proven that he’s got a penchant for picking up awards nominations and is even more skilled at not winning any of them (yet). It was only a matter of time before two of Japan’s rising stars would collide once more.
But Goro is still very unprepared when Akira waltzes into an audition for his newest film and blows everyone before him out of the water.
His performance is… entrancing. It makes Goro forget about everything except the fact that Akira Kurusu is an amazing actor. Oh, and that he’s also Goro’s ex.
What could possibly go wrong, working with the boy he used to sneak into his trailer almost every night?
