Summary
“Is there something wrong with you?” Akechi asks, leaning over one of the cheap counters pushed against Yuuki’s kitchen walls. If he stuck his foot out behind him a few inches, he’d hit the other set of cabinets, up under Yuuki’s sink. The water goes tap, tap, tap in the basin, and Yuuki echoes it with his feet against the cabinet.
“What do you mean?” he asks.
“You’re a little too comfortable with my whole… situation.”
“We’ve all got our issues.” Yuuki says, when silence stretches between them a touch too long. He knocks his foot into Akechi’s hip and follows his lead, staring off into space instead of him. “You show me yours; I’ll show you mine.”

Summary
“How do I look,” Yuuki asks sweetly, and presses his hands to his stomach.
“Gorgeous,” Ryuji breathes.
“Stunning,” Goro coos.
“Breathtaking,” Akira says.
Mishima giggles, and slides his hands up his stomach, shows off a little bit of his stomach before he drops the shirt again. “You guys are too sweet to me.”

It’s a simple thing, really. Three sugar daddies and only one sugar baby means a lot of preening, and parading, and even more of Mishima getting his way. -

Yuuki shuffles around again. “So, uh, I guess you guys aren't that close…?”
“Nah, we’re besties actually. He’s adopted, so, he’s probably more like a weird friend that lives with me than a brother.”
“Oh!” Yuuki says, and crosses his legs under him. “That’s cool. I’ve always wanted a brother.”
“It’s not that great,” Futaba says flatly. She glances up, and looks straight at him, and Yuuki wilts back into the mattress a little bit. “He flirts with all of my friends.”

Summary
The music is soft, an instrumental track with a slow beat, low notes. It doesn’t sound familiar, but it’s not like Kaoru listens to much music to begin with. And it's not like it matters, either. All it has to do is put him to sleep.
He counts tiles on the ceiling and listens to the music, and winces when he tries to roll over. Hospitals, he thinks angrily, as thin sheets scratch across his arms. He wonders, if he lifts his fingers, if they’ll be covered in ink stains.

Kaoru frowns, and it twists his face beautifully, pushing his plush lips together, extenuating the little lines around his eyes that are usually imperceptible. He’s reddening like ripe fruit, the blush spreading down his neck as Kojiro kisses at his pliant hand, down to his fluttering pulse point. “You’re being awfully sentimental,” he grunts. “I don’t think it fits you.”
“Does it have to?” Kojiro asks. He walks his fingers back up Kaoru’s arm to push gently at his shoulder, until Kaoru is spread out on his back once more, rolling over with a beautiful sigh. “Don’t you like knowing how beautiful you are?”
“I do,” Kaoru huffs, his voice giving away the glare in wait behind the seemingly placid expression. “That doesn’t mean it suits you.”

Summary
The first time they did this, Light actually cried, despite the fact that it was his idea.
The first time they did this, Light isn’t so sure what compelled him, being that he had no memory of his crimes and nothing to fuel his self-destructive rage.
The both of them are going to be so exhausted after this, that neither will be bothered to argue about anything. Light will simply text his father that he is planning to stay at headquarters to work through the night, and they will collapse into bed and not touch each other but draw their breaths in time. Light will sleep like he had before he discovered the death note-- that is to say, peacefully.
