Summary
It's a new school year for the PSU Foxes, and two in particular are feeling more alone than ever.
Allison's long-term on-again-off-again boyfriend died, and she's fed up of the rest of team tip-toeing around her because of it. The only person capable of being normal around her is Kevin, who's dealing with his own problems.
When the two of them acknowledge an attraction towards each other, ideas begin to form, lines are drawn—and promptly crossed—and the one person they can depend upon for normalcy becomes more important than they could ever have imagined.

“Andrew,” Renee said, and Andrew allowed himself to lean on her for a split second, only long enough to find his balance. She didn’t waver. “Your nose is bleeding,” she whispered, so he brought a hand up to his face, resisting the urge to lick his lips. His blood was warm against his fingertips.
It felt like his nose was broken.
“Shit,” Neil said again, and Andrew looked up just in time to see an overwhelming amount of dizzying blue eyes and dark auburn curls. He shut his eyes for a moment, but when he opened them again, Neil was still there, vivid and concerned as ever. "Oh god, you're bleeding everywhere."
Andrew spit into the grass at his feet, the taste of copper on his tongue, and said, simply, "Fuck you."
(Or, the one in which Neil is in color guard, Andrew is in drum line, and everyone thinks they hate each other because everyone is literally blind.)
